Decatur, Ga. - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte volleyball team picked up its first road win of the season, topping Agnes Scott 3-1 on Wednesday night. The Wildcats won by scores of 25-27, 25-16, 25-17, 27-25.
After falling in the first set, the Wildcats used runs in the middle of the second and third periods to build a lead that they would eventually close out. JWU led by as many as four points in the fourth, but twice faced Agnes Scott set points at the end of the period, before scoring the final three points of the match.
Jordan Mann and
Erica Rawlings combined for 23 kills.
Madison Leslie handed out 24 assists, while
Loshi Ward added 21 more. The duo also had 7 service aces between them.
Aiyanna McKinnon led the defensive effort with 19 digs.
The Wildcats are next in action on Saturday, October 10th, when they travel to Raleigh, N.C. for a tri-match with William Peace and Greensboro. The first match is scheduled for 1:00pm.
