Julian Hayes got the Wildcats off to a good start, striking out the side in the first inning. The Generals scored twice in the second and three times in the fifth courtesy of a Alex Caywood three-run homer.
JWU thrice got runners to third base, but could not push across a run.
Hayes pitched 4 innings, allowing 3 earned runs, striking out 4 while walking three.

Preston Whitaker each drew two walks for JWU.
