Charlotte, N.C. - Alice Lloyd swept a doubleheader with Johnson & Wales Charlotte on Friday afternoon.
The Eagles scored all eleven of their runs in game one in the second and third innings as Mckenzie Oldfield drove in three runs for Alice Lloyd during those two innings.
Seven Hope doubled in two runs for JWU in the bottom of the fifth, and then scored scored on
Enijah Gary's single to account for the Wildcats' fourth run.
Hope and
Mai Tellez-Martinez each had two hits for JWU. Tellez-Martinez pitched three innings, allowing thirteen hits and six earned runs. She walked one and struck out three.
Alice Lloyd started quickly in game two as well, scoring eight times over the first two innings. JWU was held to just four hits.
Enijah Gary pitched 1.2 innings, allowing seven earned runs, while walking four and striking out one.
The Wildcats are next in action on Tuesday, March 17th, as they host William Peace for a doubleheader beginning at 2pm.
