Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte split their two games against Morris on Saturday afternoon, taking the opener 13-5 before dropping the second 9-3.

Hunter Conn-Beck was honored in a ceremony before the game and then took to the bump to earn his second win of the season. He pitched a complete game, allowing five earned runs, while walking two and striking out two more. The Wildcats struck for two runs in the first, as
Marco Fernandez drove home
Sami Nezaj and
Jordan Brown. They added four more runs in the bottom of the second, highlighted by Brown's two RBI double. Fernandez was back at it in the third, tripling to right center with the bases loaded.
Brown had three hits in the game, and as many RBI. Fernandez drove in five in the game.
Game two saw Morris score single runs in the each of the first two innings off of Wildcat starter
McKinley Myles. They did the same to reliever
Julian Hayes in the foruth and sixth before adding five in the top of the seventh. The JWU bats were quiet until the sixth inning. After Brown scored on a wild pitch,
Logan Howland tripled to center field, scoring Fernandez.
Dev Hernandez followed with a single scoring Howland. That would be all the offense the Wildcats could muster in the game.
Myles and Hayes combined to pitch 6.2 innings, allowing seven hits and seven earned runs. They struck out four and walked six.Â
