Misenheimer, N.C. - Pfeiffer and Johnson & Wales Charlotte played to a 1-1 draw in women's soccer on Wednesday night.
Jess Garman continued her torrid stretch to begin the season, scoring a breakaway goal just thirty-one seconds into the match. It was her fourth goal of the season. The Falcons leveled matters at the half hour mark after JWU was penalized for handling a ball inside the penalty area. Wildcat keeper
Zoe Balmer got a hand on Quinn Branca's penalty kick, but could not keep it out of the net.Â
Pfeiffer totaled fifteen shots in the game, but the Wildcat defense stood firm. Balmer made five saves behind them to preserve the tie. Garman broke away again for a shot in the seventy-first minute, but Falcon goalkeeper Jerusaln Gonzalez was able to parry it away from danger.
The Wildcats next travel to Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga. on Saturday, September 12th for a 1:00pm kickoff.
