Swannanoa, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer defeated Warren Wilson 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The teams battled through wet conditions during the match. Each team took thirteen shots, six of which were on frame for JWU, compared with five for the Owls. Warren Wilson enjoyed a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Wildcats broke the stalemate in the seveny-sixth minute when
Niklas Seguin scored off of an assist from
Cody Gomez for the game's lone goal. Alam Ramirez let JWU with 3 shots.
Colin Starr made four saves to pick up his twelfth career clean sheet.
JWU next travels to Greensboro College on Saturday, September 26th for a 7:00pm match.
