Biography

AT JWU: Fernando Esteban enters his senior season as one of the Wildcats' veteran leaders. He owns a 6-5 career singles record while demonstrating versatility by competing at No. 2, 5, and 6 singles, as well as all three doubles positions. Off the court, Fernando enjoys weightlifting, running, and boxing. His experience, work ethic, and leadership make him an important presence for the Johnson & Wales Charlotte tennis program

PREP: Graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, where he was an honor roll student. VFMA did not offer tennis as a varsity sport, but Esteban trained and played on his own. Additionally, he participated in the sport of padel, a cross between tennis, squash, and pickleball that enabled him to keep honing his skills.
