The Men's basketball team of Johnson & Wales University lost their first game of the new year. The Wildcats took on the Battling Bishops from North Carolina Wesleyan College on Monday night.

Johnson & Wales University looked to avenge an earlier season loss they suffered at the hands of the Battling Bishops.

The early minutes of the game proved to be a solid competition between teams that were familiar with each othersstyles of play.

The Wildcats trailed only by six points during the early minutes of play, untill North Carolina Wesleyan College manufactured a run that would provide them a comfortable lead entering into half-time.

Johnson & Wales University began the second half with more patience and composure, but failed to successfully defend the multiple scoring options that the Battling Bishops provided.

The Wildcats were paced throughout the game by Sophomore Michael Daniel who recorded a team high of 11 points to go along with 8 rebounds.

The men's basketball team of Johnson & Wales University will take the floor again on Monday January 10th when they host Randolph College at the Grady Cole Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm.
