Box Score Greensboro, NC - The Johnson & Wales women's soccer team was held scoreless for the second straight match, suffering an 8-0 defeat at Guilford College on Friday.
The Wildcats (2-7) were only down 2-0 at the half, but a dominant second half by the Quakers saw the hosts score six times in 26 minutes to put the match away.
Freshman midfielder Danielle Doyle led the Wildcats with two shots on goal while goalkeeper Kylie Priddy made 12 saves for Johnson & Wales.
The Quakers received two goals each from Morgan Henderson and Christian Heggie. Morgan Sleeth, Kelli Uresti, Nicole Karukas, and Gabriela Silva also scored for Guilford.
The Wildcats will resume play on Oct. 15 when they host USCAA #9 Warren Wilson College at the OrthoCarolina SportsPlex in Pineville. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
