Women's Soccer Loses to Nationally Ranked Warren Wilson

Box Score

Swannanoa, NC - The Johnson & Wales women's soccer team fell 6-0 at USCAA #9 Warren Wilson College on Friday.

The Wildcats (1-4) struggled in the early stages, giving up goals in the 4th, 12th, 17th, and 23rd minutes to the hosts.

"It's been a great week to learn how important the small details are to earning a positive result," said Johnson & Wales head coach Matt Hisler.  "A few players were able to improve their game.  However, it is a team game and the team must do a better job attending to the small details."

Warren Wilson would tack on insurance goals in the 69th and 80th minutes to round out the scoring.  Bianca Canizio led the Lady Owls with a hat trick.

Freshman midfielder Danielle Doyle was the lone source of offense for the Wildcats, putting three of her five shots on goal.

Kylie Priddy made 12 saves for Johnson & Wales.

The Wildcats will resume play on Sunday when they host Southeastern University at the OrthoCarolina SportsPlex in Pineville, NC.  Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
