Guilford Edges Lady Wildcats 1-0

Pineville, NC - A first half goal by Guilford College was the difference as the Johnson & Wales women's soccer team fell 1-0 at home on Saturday at the OrthoCarolina SportsPlex.

Guilford striker Juliana Evans-Anfom produced the lone goal of the match in the 30th minute, beating Johnson & Wales goalkeeper Kylie Priddy for the eventual match winner.

Danielle Doyle and Taylor Helms each had two shots on goal for the Lady Wildcats (3-6).

Priddy put forth a strong effort in goal for Johnson & Wales, finishing with 11 saves on the day.

The Lady Wildcats will resume play on Tuesday, Sept. 27 when they host Hollins University.  Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
