Wildcats Fall to Guilford

Greensboro, NC - The Johnson & Wales women's soccer team lost for the first time in 2017 as they fell 2-0 to Guilford College on Wednesday night at the Armfield Athletic Center.

The Wildcats fell behind in the first half as Quaker midfielder Morgan Henderson scored a goal and assisted on another, giving the hosts a lead they would not relinquish. 

Guilford outshot JWU 20-4 in the contest. Wildcat goalkeeper Kylie Priddy (3-1) made 5 saves on the evening, while her counterpart, Morgan Malikowski (2-2) stopped 3 shots to record her first clean sheet of the season.

Johnson & Wales falls to 3-1 on the season, while Guilford improves to 3-3.

The Wildcats are back in action on Saturday as they welcome USCAA opponent Washington Adventist to OrthoCarolina Sportsplex for a 7:30pm kickoff.
