Late First Half Flurry Lifts Meredith Past Women's Soccer

Raleigh, N.C. - Meredith College scored three goals in under four minutes late in the first half, setting the tone in a 7-0 win over the Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team on Tuesday.

The Wildcats (4-2) surrendered goals in the 42nd, 43rd, and 45th minutes, giving Meredith a commanding 4-0 lead at the half.

Kirstie King led the hosts with two goals and one assist while Jessica Wallace added a brace.  Izzy Webb, Kelsey Russell, and Hannah Elvington also scored for Meredith.

Danielle Doyle, Abigail Durisseau, and Grace Newbold each recorded shots for Johnson & Wales, with Doyle and Newbold putting their efforts on target.

Kylie Priddy and Jordann Kinkin combined for nine saves for the Wildcats.

Johnson & Wales will resume play on Saturday when the team hosts Columbia International University at the OrthoCarolina Sportplex.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
