Men's Soccer Topples Owls On Road

Box Score

Swannanoa, NC - JWU's Men's Soccer Team took on EMAC opponent Warren Wilson College on Tuesday. The Wildcats concluded their conference season with a 6-0 victory.

The Wildcats (10-1) got off to an early lead with a long string of passes that culminated in a Weeb Isaac goal. The Owls (2-10) then grew into the game as #1 JWU didn't score again until the 41st minute. A moment of brilliance from Iseiah Washington put the Wildcats up 2-0 after a "maradona" and long range finish. Pablo Morera scored the third and final goal of the half with 2 seconds left on the clock.

The second half began with a quick Tito Villanueva goal after a scramble in the box. Chance Wiginton and Brandon Greene both notched headed finishes to cap the scoring for the Wildcats.

"Earning a win on the road is always great for the team. The guys executed well and I'm happy to be headed home victorious."

JWU travels to Regent University on Nov. 2 for a 6:00 pm kick-off to finish the regular season.
