Women's Soccer Draws With Panthers On Road

Box Score

Albany, NY - The JWU Women's Soccer Team completed their road trip to New York by taking on perennial national contender Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The Wildcats put 6 shots on frame, compared to just 2 for the Panthers, on their way to a 1-1 draw.

ACPHS started the scoring when Emily Linehan's 25 yard free kick found the back of the net in the 18th minute. The lead would only hold until the 36th minute, when Jaedan Smith scored for JWU off of a Lana Truese assist. The game headed into overtime with the score still 1-1. Despite outshooting their opponent 5-1 in OT, the Wildcats couldn't quite find the Panthers' net, and the game ended with a draw. The result caps a successful opening weekend for the Wildcats who collected a 10-0 victory over Bryant & Stratton- Albany on Thursday.

The Wildcats move to 1-0-1 and will host Regent University on September 6th at 7:15 pm.
