Box Score Columbia, SC - Bubba Greene scored two second half goals, but that was not enough for Johnson & Wales to overcome Converse.
The Valkyries struck twice in the game's first three minutes to put themselves ahead, and then twice more in a sixty second span in the middle of the first half to solidify their lead.
Converse (5-7-1) extended their lead to 6 with two second half tallies, before Greene's brace in the 71st and 85th minute dented the scoreboard for JWU (4-8)
Converse outshot the Wildcats 17-10, putting 12 of them on frame. Greene was the only JWU player to tally more than 1 shot on the evening, while Cristian Marroquin was the only other Wildcat to put a shot on goal. Tanner Newport made 6 saves in net.
Johnson & Wales is next in action on Sunday, October 17th for a 10:30am kickoff against Washington Adventist. The game will be held at Corvian Community High School.
