Black Mountain, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte Men's Soccer team was on the road again Saturday night, facing their second Appalachian Athletic Conference foe in as many games as they faced off against the Montreat Cavaliers. The first ever meeting between the two schools did not go the Wildcats' way, as Montreat earned a 6-1 win.

Montreat (1-0) used an aerial attack to claim an early lead as Brian Eke and Rodrigo Jimenez each scored on headers in the game's first twenty minutes to stake the Cavaliers to a 2-0 advantage. The game settled in at point, but a three goal in eight minute burst by Montreat shortly after halftime staked them to an insurmountable lead. Juan Santana-Urieta got the Wildcats on the board in the 69th minute as he took a centering pass from Evan Retzlaff and fired it Montreat keeper Jesus Ramos. The Cavaliers would add a late goal for the eventual 6-1 margin.

The Wildcats open their home schedule tomorrow as they host Paul D. Camp CC for a 4pm kickoff at OrthoCarolina Sportsplex.
