Box Score Pineville, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer raced out to a 3-0 halftime lead over Montreat, and cruised home with a 4-2 win over the visiting Cavaliers on Monday afternoon.
How It Happened:
- Alex Tsoukalas opened the scoring in the third minute as he headed a corner kick that was blocked, settled the ball at his feet, and then fired it into the far corner of the net.
- Josiah Davis doubled the JWU lead in the twentieth minute as he took a pass from Juan Santana-Urieta that got past Cavalier goalkeeper Marius Braedstrup-Holm and deposited it into the empty net.
- Lucas Lesh bookended the end of the first half and the start of the second half with goals in the 44th and 49th minutes to put the game out of reach.
- Montreat pulled two goals back in the final 35 minutes from Kevin Salmeron and Ethan Kerns.
