Box Score Bluefield, WV - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer team continued their season-opening road swing at Bluefield College on Saturday evening. JWU fell 2-1 on a late game goal from the Rams.
How It Happened:
- Bluefield jumped on top in the game's 13th minute when the Rams' Adam Gymander collected a loose ball in the box and served it into the goal.
- The game settled in after that point, as neither team could mount any effective scoring chances.
- 20 minutes into the second half, JWU's Josiah Davis was run over inside the penalty area, earning a penalty kick. Diaje' Hart converted the kick to level the score.
- The game seemed destined for a draw before a Bluefield free kick from mid field was served into the box and eventually volleyed in by Devin Callaway past a couple of Wildcat defenders.
