Women's Soccer Shuts Out Trinity Baptist

Pineville, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte Women's Soccer team picked up their first win of the season with a 4-0 shutout of Trinity Baptist on Saturday.

How It Happened:
  • Lauren Burch scored her first goal of the season when she tucked a ball in the bottom left corner of the goal from a tough angle past Eagle keeper Laynee Foster.
  • Jayden Price scored twice in the span of eight minutes in the second half in the run of play to put the game out of reach.
  • Trinity Knauf capped the scoring as her 25 yard free kick was perfectly placed over Foster's arms and underneath the crossbar.
Key Stats:
  • NCWC outshot the Wildcats 21-5.
  • Price had her second brace of the season.
  • In addition to her goal, Knauf assisted on each of the other three goals. 
  • Leah Bragaw made 4 saves to pick up her first win of the season.
  • JWU improves to 1-5. TBC falls to 3-4.
