Men's Soccer Rallies To Beat Brevard

Pineville, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer team extended their unbeaten streak to 17 games with a 3-2 come from behind win over Brevard on Wednesday night.

The Wildcats struck first when Lucas Lesh fired home a feed from Alex Tsoukalas in the 16th minute. Brevard rallied, scoring twice in a four minute stretch that saw JWU go behind for just the second time all season. Arsenio Di Donna leveled the match two minutes before halftime when he took a pass from Yomar Peguero and sent it past Tornado keeper Matheus Rossi.

Andrew Fanelli provided the eventual game winner from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute after he was fouled in the box. The Wildcat defense held up their end of the bargain from there, holding Brevard to just 4 shots, 2 of which were saved by Colin Starr.

JWU enjoyed a 20-8 advantage in shots, and earned 16 corners to just one for Brevard.

The Wildcats return home on Saturday, October 14th as they host Regent for Senior Day. Game time is 4pm.
