Pineville, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer team closed the home portion of their season with a 4-0 win over Regent.
JWU jumped ahead early as
Peter Agelis scored in the fifth minute.
Evan Retzlaff added another goal six minutes later. Goals at the end of the first half from
Jacobo Arias and
Antonino Terranova ended any doubt about the outcome.
The Wildcats out shot the Royals 26-2 and earned 5 corner kicks to Regent's one. Ten Wildcats had mulitple shots on the afternoon.
Tanner Newport and
Noah Pavao split the shutout in goal.
JWU honored six graduating seniors at halftime:
Ross Garrison,
Ahmed Ghosheh,
Christopher Haynes,
Tanner Newport,
Evan Retzlaff, and
Juan Santana-Urieta.
The Wildcats are next in action on Tuesday, October 17th when they travel to Averett for a 7pm match.
