Virginia Beach. VA - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's soccer team picked up their third draw in the last five outings as the Wildcats and Regent split a pair of goals on Friday afternoon.
Taylor Witherspoon put the Wildcats in front early as she scored off a pass from
Asmira Garcia in the game's first five minutes. JWU put four more shots on frame in the half, but could not find the back of the net.
Regent's Olivia Charles got the Royals on the board twenty minutes into the second half, tying the score at one. The Wildcats had the best chance to score the remainder of the period as
Azalianna Absalom's seventy-eighth minute strike hit the post.
Zoe Balmer made 8 saves in goal for JWU.
The Wildcats return home to face USC-Lancaster on Monday, October 9th at 7pm.
