Banner Elk, NC - Host Lees-McRae defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 90-53 in men's basketball on Tuesday night.
The Wildcats struggled from the field in the first half, making just six of twenty-eight shot attempts, as the Bobcats took a 42-16 halftime lead. Lees-McRae scored 50 points in the paint and used their 21 offensive rebounds to post 16 second chance points.
JWU improved their shooting to 44.12% in the second half, but were unable to cut into their deficit.
Kendall Wooldridge led the Wildcats with 10 points, while
Isaiah Escobar added 9.
Ethan Smith scored 7 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, his first career double-digit rebound game.
The Wildcats return home on Tuesday, November 28th to host Erskine at 7pm.
