Box Score Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte made the short trip up West Trade Street to take on Johnson C. Smith on Tuesday night in their final pre-Thanksgiving contest. The led for all but fifty-one seconds en route to a 70-58 win.

How it happened:

• The Wildcats doubled up the Golden Bulls over the game's first four minutes, leading 8-4 on the strength of two Jordan Durant layups.
• JCSU used a 6-0 run to take their only lead of the game at 10-8 with two minutes left in the first period.
• Aimee Evans immediately answered with a jumper and then made a steal on the next Golden Bull possession that resulted in a Durant three pointer to give JWU a three point advantage after one quarter.
• JWU continued their hot shooting in the second period, making half of their 16 attempts. Six of those eight baskets were from inside five feet, as JWU was able to get the ball inside at will. 
• The Wildcats extended their lead to 15 over the first five minutes of the third quarter, making 9 of 13 shots and 3 of 4 three point attempts.
• JCSU would not get closer than 10 points for the rest of the game.

• JWU improves to 3-1, while JCSU falls to 1-3.
• Durant led all scorers with 20 points, including going 4-8 at the three point line.
• Jamyah Blakeney also made four 3's on her way to 14 points to go along with 8 rebounds.
• Aimee Evans also scored 14 points for the Wildcats.
