Pineville, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer team opened defense of their USCAA Division II National Championship with a scoreless draw at a rain soaked OrthoCarolina Sportsplex on Wednesday.
The Wildcats outshot the Cavaliers 8-1 in the first half, and 12-8 for the game, but could not push one past Montreat goalkeeper Marius Braedstrup-Holm. His counterpart in net, 
Colin Starr was equal to the task as well, recording 3 saves on the night while keeping a clean sheet. 
Lucas Lesh, 
Yomar Peguero, and 
Tyler Morgan recorded two shots each for the Wildcats. 
JWU is next in action on Saturday when they travel to Methodist for a 6pm kickoff.Â
