Pineville, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer team rallied with two second half scores to defeat Ferrum 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats saw their scoreless minute streak end at 391, about 15 minutes shy of the school record, when Ferrum's Jonathan Nicacio split the JWU defense to put the Panthers ahead in the twenty-eighth minute. Ferrum enjoyed the lead despite getting outshot 7-3 in the first half, and 18-5 for the game.
Lucas Lesh knotted the score six minutes after halftime when he picked up a loose ball in front of net and slotted it past Ferrum keeper Dillon Ghosh.
Andrew Fanelli provided the game winner when his header off of a pass from
Alex Tsoukalas was true.Â
Colin Starr made three saves on the day for Johnson & Wales.
The Wildcats return home on Wednesday, September 20th to host Wake Tech at 6pm.
