Swannanoa, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte women's soccer team picked up their third road win of the season with a 4-0 victory over Warren Wilson on Tuesday afternoon.
Katie Douglas got the Wildcats on the board in the eleventh minute when she collected a pass from
Elizabeth Parsells, ran across the face of the goal and then beat Owl goalkeeper Sabine Costello-Sanders at the far post. The Warren Wilson defense stiffened for the rest of the half, holding JWU to the lone goal despite 16 shots for the Wildcats.
The score changed in the first thirty seconds of the second half as the Wildcats used a 5 pass attack that ended with
Azalianna Absalom scoring again off of a feed from Parsells.
Taylor Witherspoon found the upper right corner of the goal from twenty five yards out on a free kick with twenty minutes to play, and Douglas chested home a deflected
Sarah Milne shot in the final minute to close the scoring.
The Wildcats enjoyed a 31-2 advantage in shots, with 13 of those being on frame. The goalkeeping trio of
Zoe Balmer,
