Charlotte, NC - Bob Jones rallied to down Johnson & Wales 73-72 on in men's basketball on Saturday afternoon.

How it happened:

• Bob Jones jumped out to a 22-10 lead in the first six and a half minutes as they made four of their first five three point attempts.
• The Bruins led by as many as 15 in the first half, and were still up fourteen at 36-22 with 2:26 left in the period.
• JWU closed the half with an 8-2 flourish that saw them trim the deficit to eight, 30-22 at the break.
• It was the Wildcats' turn to spurt out of the locker room to start the second half. They outscored Bob Jones 12-3 over the first four minutes of the second stanza, taking a 42-41 on Jaben Mars's dunk.
• This would prove to part of a larger 33-9 run that saw JWU take a 63-47 lead with 8:25 left.
• Trailing by ten with 2:43 to play, the Bruins held the Wildcats to just two points the rest of the way, and scored on their next five possessions, capped off by Elijah's Cupples three pointer with eleven seconds left that put Bob Jones ahead.
