Spartanburg, SC - Converse defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 67-51 on Wednesday afternoon, snapping the Wildcats' seven game win streak.

JWU fell behind 4-0 early before rallying to lead 13-12 after ten minutes. The Valkyries took control in the second period, outscoring the Wildcats 22-12 as they made nine of twenty field goal attempts.

Converse held JWU at bay in the second half, as the Wildcats could get no closer than 9 points over the last twenty minutes.

Gabby Tapley led JWU with 10 points. Jordan Durant, Jayla Lovett, and Aimee Evans each scored 7 points.

The Wildcats return home on Saturday to take on Voorhees at 3pm.
