Katie Douglas picked up a deflected shot and fired it past Carolina U. keeper Alondra Locklear. JWU could not find an equalizer in the remaining regulation time.
Carolina outshot the Wildcats 12-5 on the evening. Douglas led JWU with 2 shots.

The Wildcats learned earlier Wednesday afternoon that they had earned a berth into the USCAA National Championships, held November 14-19 in Pittsburgh. PA. JWU, the 4th seed will face the loser of the match between top seeded Cincinnati-Clermont and fifth seeded New Hampshire Tech. The game will take place on Friday, November 15th at 12:45pm.
