Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's basketball team picked up their tenth win of the season with a 70-57 win over Voorhees on Friday night.
The Wildcats never trailed in the game, but did most of their damage in the first half. They built a 37-22 advantage after twenty minutes, shooting 15-32 from the field and 6 of 15 from the three point stripe. JWU also held Voorhees (10-14) to just 29.6% shooting in the period and outrebounded the Tigers by 8.
JWU led by as many as 25 in the second half before settling for the thirteen point final margin.Â
Nathan Meshida led all scorers with 21 points, while
Jaben Mars added 11 and
Cameron Lawson scored 10 for the Wildcats.
JWU returns home on Monday, February 19th when they host Carolina Christian at 6pm.
