Winston-Salem, NC - Carolina University defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 74-60 on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats started slowly, missing four of their first five shots, and committing nine turnovers in the first six minutes of the game. Those miscues helped Carolina University (9-5) jump out to a 20-4 lead.
JWU struggled to cut into the Bruin lead for much of the game, only getting it into single digits on an
Aimee Evans three point play with 4:14 left in the game.Â
Evans led all scorers, posting a career-high 24 points to go along with 7 rebounds.
McKenzie Taylor added 15 points.
The Wildcats have the week off before returning to action on Saturday, February 10th when they host Toccoa Falls at 1:00pm.
