Pineville, NC - Pfeiffer scored a late game goal to edge Johnson & Wales 2-1 on Wednesday night.
The two teams played a scoreless first forty-five minutes that saw the Falcons hold a 6-1 edge in shots. Pfeiffer finally broke through two minutes into the second period when Alex Michel got his head on a corner kick and found the right corner of the goal. JWU answered just seven minutes later as Eugenio de la Parra Polino fired a rocket from 25 yards away that beat Pfeiffer keeper Tommaso Cantini to the far post.
Each team had chances to score late, and the Falcons found a winner when Michel again got his head to a corner kick and put it away with just under five minutes left.

Johnson & Wales is next in action on Sunday, September 15th, when they travel to Rocky Mount, NC to face NC Wesleyan at 4pm.
