Box Score Rocky Mount, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer team traveled to North Carolina Wesleyan on Sunday afternoon and came away with a 1-1 draw after a stellar defensive effort.
The Battling Bishops outshot JWU 22-5 during the match. The Wildcats defense stood tall in the first half, led by goalkeeper
Colin Starr, who made 7 first period saves to keep NCWU off the scoreboard.
Niklas Seguin put the JWU ahead less than two minutes into the second half. NCWU answered eleven minutes later to even the contest once again. Neither team could dent the net for the remainder of the match.
Alex Castro had two shots to lead the Wildcat offensive attach. Starr made 14 total saves on the afternoon.
The Wildcats return home to host another USA South opponent on Wednesday, this time in the form of Greensboro College. Kickoff is set for 6pm.
