Pineville, NC - Greensboro College rallied for a 2-1 victory over Johnson & Wales Charlotte on Saturday afternoon.
JWU opened the scoring in the fifteenth minute of the first half as
Elizabeth Parsells found a streaking
Azalianna Absalom, who dribbled past Pride goalkeeper Lindsey Fox and deposited the ball in the back of the Greensboro goal.
The Pride scored twice in the first half to take a 2-1 lead at the break on goals by Cassidy Olezewski and Alex Hyde. The Wildcats could muster only three shots on the day, two of which were on frame. JWU had a golden opportunity to tie the score a little over twenty minutes into the second half when Absalom won a penalty, but her ensuing kick was saved by Fox.
