Charlotte, NC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte returned to their winning ways on Monday afternoon, defeating Meredith College 86-40.
JWU jumped out to a 24-11 lead after one quarter as
Kyrah Davis and
Samara Britt combined for 15 points. The Wildcats extended their lead to 44-19 at the half, and then held the Avenging Angels to just 3 points in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Twelve of the thirteen Wildcats that played made at least one field goal. JWU outrebounded Meredith by 25 and forced 30 turnovers.
Gabby Tapley led JWU with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Kyrah Davis scored 14 points, and
De'Ashaj Crawford added 11 points.
JWU welcomes Erskine College to the Wildcat Center on Saturday, January 25th at 1pm. It is JWU's annual Play4Kay game.
