Sumter, SC - Johnson & Wales Charlotte cruised to an 80-61 win over Morris College on Wednesday night.
The Wildcats forged an eight point lead at halftime and then outscored the Hornets 24-12 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach. JWU shot season-highs 51.8% from the field and 47.4% from the three point line.
Four Wildcats scored in double figures, led by 19 points each from
Maliah Preston and
Kyrah Davis.
Sydney Wells had 15 points off the bench, while
Jordan Durant scored 10 points.
JWU's scheduled game on Saturday, January 11th has been postponed due to expected inclement weather. They will next travel to Fayetteville, NC on January 18th to play Methodist at 4:00pm.
