Demorest, Ga. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Piedmont University 1-0 in men's soccer on Tuesday afternoon.

Alan Ramirez scored the game's only goal two minutes before halftime as he collected a Justin Ortiz pass at the top of the eighteen yard box and deposited the ball in the left corner of the net. 

The Wildcats doubled the number of shots that Piedmont had on the day, 22 to 11. Nine of those efforts were on target. Jackson Acker made three saves in recording the shutout in net for JWU.

Next up for the Wildcats is a home game against Warren Wilson on Saturday, October 25th at 3:00pm.
