Pineville, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer defeated Shaw University 4-0 in men's soccer on Monday night.
The Wildcats got goals from four different players on the evening, while three more contributed assists. Niklas Sequin opened the scoring in the twelvth minute when he took a centering pass from
Lucas Lesh and looped the ball over Shaw goalkeeper Joel Tellez.
Alex Tsoukalas doubled the JWU advantage fourteen minutes later when he headed home an
Alan Ramirez corner kick.
Dylan Steeves put the hosts ahead by three just five minutes later when he collected a loose ball and chipped Tellez from twenty-five yards out.
Cody Gomez added his first goal of the season in the second half to provide the final margin.
JWU held Shaw to nine shots.
Cooper Jason and
Jackson Acker combined to make 3 saves in keeping a clean sheet.
The Wildcats next travel to Greenville, S.C. on Friday, October 10th to take on Bob Jones University at 8pm.
