Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Warren Wilson 69-61 in women's basketball on Saturday.
The Wildcats trailed by two points after three quarters, but used a 22-12 run in the fourth to secure the win. JWU struggled from the field in the first thirty minutes, making just 27% of their shots, but got hot late, making their first four shots of the final stanza, and 8 of 18 in the period.Â
JWU outrebounded Warren Wilson by ten, 58-48,and forced 20 turnovers.
Four Wildcats scored in double figures, led by
Kyrah Davis's 14.
Gabby Tapley had 11, while
Maliah Preston and
Laylah Toscano added 10 each. Toscano and Tapley recorded double-doubles with 10 rebounds, while
Korletta Daniels led the Wildcats with 11.
