Misenheimer, N.C. - Pfeiffer University defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 92-78 in men's basketball on Tuesday night.
The Falcons jumped out to a ten point advantage in the game's first six and half minutes only to see JWU close to within two with 11:41 to play in the half. Pfeiffer responded in turn, pushing their lead to as many as twenty before settling for a 50-35 halftime advantage.Â
JWU outscored Pfeiffer 43-43 in the second half while shooting 42.11% from the field, but could only trim one point off of their halftime deficit.
Cooper Wiley led the Wildcats with 24 points and 8 rebounds.
Jordan Appling added 12 points.
JWU opens their home schedule on Friday, November 14th when they welcome Oglethorpe for a 6pm tipoff.
