Charlotte, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte defeated Salem College 68-50 in women's basketball on Tuesday night.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 38-12 halftime lead as they held the Spirits to just 5 of 24 shooting in the first 20 minutes and were never seriously threatened after that point. JWU connected on a season high 8 three point attempts and outrebounded Salem by 28.
Laylah Toscano posted another double-double, leading JWU with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while also handing out 5 assists.
Kyrah Davis added 16 points, and
Sydney Wells made three 3 pointers en route to her 12 points on the night.
JWU takes to the road for the first time this season on Friday, November 21st when they travel to Brevard College for a 7:00pm tipoff.
