Brevard, N.C. - Brevard defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 88-68 in women's basketball on Friday night.
The Wildcats led by as many as ten points in the first half took a four point advantage, 37-33 into halftime. The host Tornados caught fire in the second half, shooting 60% from the field, including 7 of 9 three point attempts to pull away from JWU.
Maliah Preston had a season-high 18 points. Layalh Toscano scored 15 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
Gabby Bryant set a new career-high with 13 points.
JWU returns home on Tuesday, November 25th when they host Toccoa Falls College at 5pm.
