Danville, Va. - Averett University defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 102-59 in men's basketball on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wildcats fell behind 7-0 early and were never able to recover as Averett's lead grew to 49-31 after twenty minutes. The Cougars shot 51% from the field and made ten of their twenty-six 3 point attempts on the afternoon, including six of fourteen in the second half.

Cooper Wiley led the Wildcats with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Cole Callaway scored 15 for JWU. 

JWU is next in action in the Jay Bilas Classic on Saturday, December 20th at 7:00pm when they take on Greensboro College.
