Brevard, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte tennis teams dropped a pair of matches at Brevard on Saturday afternoon.
The women lost 7-0. They enjoyed the most success in the doubles matches, as each Wildcat twosome won at least two games.
Iyana Barber pushed the #6 singles match to a second set tiebreak before falling 7-5.
Justin Wagner won both his singles match, the #2 tilt 6-4, 6-4 over Brevard's Bryce Bernitt, and then teamed with
Maxwell Frederick to win the #3 doubles match 7-6 over Ayden Montero and Noah Boyles.Â
Frederick continued his vein of form by winning the #4 singles match in 3 sets over Boyles, 7-6, 6-7, 10-8.
The teams next head to Hilton Head Island, SC to participate in the PTR Spring Tennis Fest. Their first matches are against Wilkes University and Saint Vincent College on Sunday, 3/2.
