Charlotte, NC - The Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's basketball team set season highs in points and field goal percentage in a 112-78 win over Carolina Christian on Wednesday night.
The Wildcats used a 12-0 run midway through the first half to turn a 23-20 advantage into a 35-20 lead that grew to 54-33 at the half. JWU hit their first five 3 point attempts in the game, en route to twelve 3 point makes for the game, tying a season best.Â
Isaiah Escobar scored all of his career-high 21 points in the second half, one of five Wildcats to finish in double figures.
Ethan Smith had 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Nantambu Calhoun scored 16 points on the strength of 4 of 6 three point shooting. William Givens, Jr had a career-high 13 points, and
Nathan Meshida added 10.
JWU continues its three game home stand on Friday when they host South Carolina Central Christian at 6pm.
