Cary, N.C. - William Peace defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 2-0 in men's soccer on Sunday afternoon.
The Pacers took an early lead, scoring just over one minute into the match as Ethan Gillette headed a corner kick into the Wildcat net. William Peace continued to have the better of things in the first half, outshooting JWU 11-4, but were unable to build on their lead.
The Wildcats had the upper hand in the second half in terms of attempts on goal, but it was the Pacers who again found the back of the net, adding an insurance goal one hour into the match.
