Swannanoa, N.C. - Johnson & Wales Charlotte men's soccer defeated Warren Wilson 3-2 in men's soccer on Wednesday afternoon.
Eugenio de la Parra Polina scored twice in the first half to give the Wildcats a 2-1 lead at the break. His first goal came just two minutes into the game when
Cyrus Tin sent a long pass downfield that de la Parra Polina ran onto and then beat Owl goalkeeper Connor Hefner low and left. His second came in the twenty-seventh minute when he scored from the right side of the penalty area just in front of goal.Â
Paul Abril increased the JWU lead just after halftime with what eventually would become the game winner, this time off an assist from de la Parra Polina.
JWU outshot Warren Wilson 18-15, and held the Owls to just three shots on goal.Â
The Wildcats return home on Saturday, September 27th when they host Viriginia State for a 4pm match.
