Charlotte, N.C. - Voorhees University defeated Johnson & Wales Charlotte 68-64 in women's basketball on Tuesday evening.
 

Highlights:

• JWU led by three points after the first quarter only to see Voorhees outscore them 16-12 in the second to take a 30-29 lead at the break.
• The Tigers extended their lead to five after thirty minutes as the Wildcats made just five of twenty shot attempts in the 3rd quarter.
• JWU twice cut the Voorhees lead to just two in the fourth quarter, but the Tigers made all ten of their free throw attempts in the final seventy-five seconds of the game to seal the win.

• Voorhees shot 41.8% from the field, while JWU connected on just 30.0% of their shots.
